COVID-19 UPDATES

At Pro Spirit, our priority has always been creating a healthy and safe environment focusing on the well-being of athletes, families and our staff. As such, we recognize and understand that you may have concerns about COVID-19 more commonly known as the Coronavirus.  To ensure that Pro Spirit continues to provide a safe environment for all involved and as part of our continued commitment to you we have implemented a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan designed to help us prevent the spread of the virus to the best of our abilities.

We are closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with guidance from

local and U.S. government health agencies. You can find additional information from the CDC at:

As we continue obtaining updated information from government authorities, we will adapt our actions and protocols to ensure continued safety.  Please check your email for daily communications.

Below are the guidelines for COVID-19 diagnosis, and exposure.

DIAGNOSED COVID-19 POSITIVE

Athlete has a lab confirmed positive test for COVID-19.  Individual could be symptomatic or asymptomatic.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

QUARENTINE! Athletes who have tested positive for COVID-19 are asked to stop attendance at the gym.  Athletes can return to regularly scheduled practices, classes and competitions (if applicable) when all the following occur:

  • 5 days have passed since symptoms began or since the positive test IF asymptomatic.

  • Athlete is fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication.

  • Athlete symptoms have improved.

 

If you have an upcoming competition scheduled within less than 5 days, please plan on NOT attending.  We will notify the coach of the team.

Please email info@pro-spirit.com or text 469-406-6246 and notify us.  Please provide athlete's name, the date of symptoms started, the date of positive test diagnosis, and the last time your athlete attend a class or practice session.

COVID-19 SYMPTOMATIC

You are considered symptomatic if you have recently began experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 in a way that is not normal for you:

  • Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • Cough or sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

  • Headache, significant muscle pain or ache

  • Chills, shaking, or exaggerated shivering

  • Diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

QUARRENTINE! An athlete who has symptoms, has not been evaluated by a medical professional or tested for COVID-19, is assumed to have COVID-19.

 

Athletes can return to regularly scheduled practices, classes and competitions (if applicable) when all the following occur:

  • 5 days have passed since symptoms began or since the positive test IF asymptomatic.

  • Athlete is fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication.

  • Athlete symptoms have improved.

 

OR: Obtain an acute infection test (PCR) at an approved testing site that comes back negative for COVID-19.  Please note that Rapid tests will not be accepted.

 

OR: A doctor's note indicating an alternate diagnosis and release date.

If you have an upcoming competition scheduled within less than 5 days, please plan on NOT attending.  We will notify the coach of the team.

COVID-19 EXPOSURE & ASYMPTOMATIC

Exposure is when and individual has been in "close contact" with a lab confirmed positive case.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

Athletes that are exposed and asymptomatic are able to attend Pro Spirit while asymptomatic.
