Arrive

 

Give yourself extra time to get to the competition venue.  Allow time for traffic and parking.  Athletes should arrive 15 minutes before their official meet time.  See below for meet, compete and award times.

 

Athletes:

  • Eat before you come.

  • Arrive competition ready; full uniform, makeup, and hair done. 

  • Youth teams and below will need to give all their belongings to their parents before your team goes back to warm up. 

  • There will be NO CELL PHONE use from check in through awards.  

  • No jewelry or nail polish is allowed.  

  • Athletes must be in only Pro Spirit official apparel. (PS uniform, warm ups, and back pack).

 

Parents:

  • Have your athlete at arrival check point 15 minutes early. Timelines are essential so please be on time. 

  • Check in with your Team Rep.  

  • Take all your cheerleader's belongings with you.  (Backpacks warm ups, etc.)

  • Find the section that all the Pro Spirit parents will be sitting in.

  • Be ready to CHEER LOUD and represent PS in the highest level of sportsmanship.  

 

Warm Up

 

Athletes will review, stretch and mentally prepare, followed by a warm up procedure established by the event producer.  We ask that athletes:

  • Be Focused

  • Be Confident

  • Listen to your coach 

  • Respect your Team Rep

  • Represent PS in the highest level of sportsmanship to other athletes and event producers. 

 

 

Compete

 

Teams will compete in order of the schedule. After they finish the team will either sit in the stands together and wait for their awards ceremony or be dismissed to their parents if their awards ceremony is significantly later than their performance time.  Each team will be notified by their Team Rep with their team plan.

 

Athletes:

  • You got this!

  • Focus on doing your job in the routine!

  • Smile and have fun!

Parents:

  • Stay on your feet throughout the whole routine

  • Cheer LOUD throughout the whole routine

  • Cheer for EVERY PS team

 

 

Awards

 

The award ceremony is very important to Pro Spirit. Athletes will not be allowed to leave early or miss the awards ceremony.  If there is some unique conflict that permits leaving early, it must be pre-approved by your head coach in advance.

 

Athletes:

  • Athletes must be in full uniform

  • No cell phones during awards

  • Clap for all teams

  • Stand up and clap when your team is announced

  • No Tears!   If we are unhappy with our performance/placement, we just get back in the gym and practice harder  

 

Parents:

  • Wait in the stands and watch awards

  • Clap and cheer for all teams

 

 

Dismiss

 

Teams will be officially dismissed by their coach after awards.  Team Reps will make sure that all athletes have been released to a parent or guardian before leaving themselves.

EVENT INFORMATION

 

TICKETS

Tickets will be GENERAL ADMISSION! Spectators may purchase their tickets in advance online, or purchase on site during the event. NCA offers daily passes or a weekend pass which will be good for Friday – Sunday competition. If purchasing onsite, is CASH ONLY. Checks and credit cards will not be accepted. Two tickets booths will be located at the Convention Center (A/B Lobby, D-Lobby), and NCA will begin selling on Friday, February 28, 2020 and continue through the rest of the weekend.

CONVENTION CENTER PARKING

There is a parking map included at the back of this packet. Parking is $15 per car in all of the Convention Center garages. There are also numerous surrounding parking lots that offer different pricing options. Charter Busses will only be allowed to park in Lot E. Charter drop offs can occur only in Lower A/B lobby and Lower D lobby.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

NO TELEPHOTO / ZOOM LENSES ALLOWED

Because safety and security are taken seriously,  it is policy to protect your privacy and that of all participants. Still cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses will not be allowed during performances by unauthorized personnel/officials at any NCA Event.

*HOVER BOARDS / SCOOTERS / ETC. NOT ALLOWED*

For the safety of participants and attendees at events, NCA does not allow the use of “Hover Boards”, “Razor Scooters”, “RipStiks”, “Skateboards” or any similar wheeled conveyances outside the competition venue or inside the competition venue or in the pre- function space. The only wheeled conveyances allowed will be those that have been deemed medically necessary for the person using it (wheelchairs, medical knee walkers, etc).

VIDEOS

Spectators may use their personal cameras in the venue. However, use of professional recording equipment is still prohibited

SIGNS

No signs can be attached to the walls, floors, railings, etc. at any NCA performance venue. If any signs are put up, they will be removed by order of the Fire Marshall.

SECURITY

All participants, coaches, and spectators are subject to random checks prior to entering the Championship venue. Please refrain from bringing any unnecessary bags, cases, etc. Security will also monitor use of video cameras during the event. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

DO NOT LEAVE PERSONAL ITEMS UNATTENDED

Please do not leave personal items unattended at anytime during the event. If your gym is assigned a personal meeting room, please be sure to leave a parent or individual in the room should you choose to leave items in that location. Please do not leave your bags backstage prior to your performance. NCA recommends athletes leave their bags with team parents prior to reporting to the practice room. NCA will have security during the event; however, these individuals are not responsible for watching personal items.

 

SPONSORS

Fabletics will be located in C-Ballroom 4 during the event. Spectators and participants are all welcome. Varsity TV will be located in C-Ballroom 1
